I bought this side/telephone table about two years ago. When I bought it the lady that helped me out at the store told me they had just sold the darker wood version. The only available one they had was a lighter colored one. I was upset at first, but then I thought, I'll just spray paint it to match my other decor. Well it took me two years to finally paint it and I'm delighted with the results.
I forgot to take a before picture but this picture here is a very close match in color.
This is the after results. I am so loving my table. I used Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Gloss in Kona Brown.
I painted the handle on the door gold and then put a little gem stone in the middle.
All in all I'm very happy with the results. I was a little nervous about using spray paint as this was my first time, but after a few swipes I was hooked. What else can I spray paint? Hmmmm...
I'm slowly transitioning to fall and the house is full of pine cones.
Thank you so much for visiting!

Beautiful! The vignette on top is perfect fall loveliness. Thanks for the inspiration, I found you at Seasonal Sundays.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Lori for the lovely comment.
ReplyDeleteHi Lucia! You did a great job on the table. Spray paint can be quite addicting. Once you get started you'll be looking around for more furniture to makeover. Have fun!!!
ReplyDeleteYour table turned out great. The extra touches on the knob make a difference too. This is going to sound critical, but it's not intended to be. I think the things on top would look better if there was more contrast, like they were on a lighter colored tray or doily or something. Or it may just be the way it looks in a picture. The general effect is nice and seasonal. I think everyone in Texas is looking forward to fall, which will be a long wait, alas.
ReplyDeleteThat turned out really nice! Thank you for joining me at HSH!
