Piano Top Decor

Hi everyone! I'm gradually transitioning my piano top for fall. So far I've just added a floral arrangement, candles and some pine cones. The family pics I like to keep all year long. This is what it looks like for now as I know I'll probably be changing it again. LOL
I turned the glasses with the gold leaves into candle holders. They use to be my grandmother's but sadly I only have two. So I bought two additional glasses at the dollar store turned them upside down and glued my grandmother's glasses on top. Tada! Instant candle holders!
The rocking horse was a gift from my mom when I was nine years old. It use to be really shiny but it has lost its shine. I like it like this more, it has more character. Don't you think?
I've also stacked some books. These were another gift from my mom. They are from Britannica and I have 57 to be exact.
Well that's all for today. Thanks for stopping by and thank you for all your lovely comments! Linking to: Between Naps on the Porch A Stroll Thru Life Savvy Southern Style Ivy and Elephants Kristen's Creations Imparting Grace At The Picket Fence My Romantic Home French Country Cottage

Dollar Store Finds

Hi everyone! Where I live we have dollar stores in practically every block. Sometimes two dollar stores on one block! I love going in and seeing what I can buy. This time I went in to see if they had any seasonal fall items out and sure enough they did! Yay!!!! I wanted to find a leaf plate to add to my curio and here she is. She is so cute.
I originally wanted to get a orangey or gold plate but when I saw this one I fell inlove.
As I was walking in the store I saw this beautiful rooster. I love roosters!!!! I couldn't believe it. Did I mention I love roosters. lol Perfect for my curio. I have to go back to the store and buy another one before they run out.
Well these are my dollar store finds. I hope you enjoyed them as much as I will. Thanks for stopping by and thank you for all the lovely comments from my last post. I enjoyed reading them all! :) Lucia I'm linking to: Ivy & Elephants Kristen's Creations Savvy Southern Style A Stroll Thru Life The Charm of Home At The Picket Fence My Romantic Home

Side Table Makeover

I bought this side/telephone table about two years ago. When I bought it the lady that helped me out at the store told me they had just sold the darker wood version. The only available one they had was a lighter colored one. I was upset at first, but then I thought, I'll just spray paint it to match my other decor. Well it took me two years to finally paint it and I'm delighted with the results. I forgot to take a before picture but this picture here is a very close match in color.
This is the after results. I am so loving my table. I used Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Gloss in Kona Brown.
I painted the handle on the door gold and then put a little gem stone in the middle.
All in all I'm very happy with the results. I was a little nervous about using spray paint as this was my first time, but after a few swipes I was hooked. What else can I spray paint? Hmmmm...
I'm slowly transitioning to fall and the house is full of pine cones.
